Cargo consolidation
Buying from three different Philippine suppliers shouldn't mean paying for three separate shipments. Our consolidation partners collect everything and ship it together.
The problem
Say you want dried mango from one supplier in Cebu, coconut oil from another in Quezon, and woven baskets from a third in Iloilo. Three separate shipments means three lots of shipping costs, three customs clearances, and three deliveries. The shipping alone can cost more than the goods.
How consolidation works
Suppliers ship to our partner's warehouse
Each supplier sends their goods to a consolidation warehouse in Manila or Cebu. They ship domestically, which is cheap and fast.
Goods are inspected and packed together
Our partner checks each delivery against your order, inspects for damage, and packs everything into one consolidated shipment.
One shipment goes to you
Everything ships together as one consignment. One bill of lading, one customs clearance, one delivery. You pay for one shipment instead of three.
What it costs
You pay a handling fee per cubic metre or per pallet for the consolidation service, plus the international shipping cost for the combined shipment. The exact fee depends on the volume and how long goods are stored before shipping.
Even with the handling fee, consolidation almost always works out cheaper than shipping separately. The savings get bigger the more suppliers you order from.
When to use it
- ✓You're ordering from two or more Philippine suppliers
- ✓Individual orders are too small for their own container
- ✓You want someone to inspect goods before they leave the Philippines
- ✓You want to simplify customs clearance on your end
Quality inspection included
When goods arrive at the consolidation warehouse, our partner checks them against your purchase order. If something doesn't match, they flag it before it ships. You find out about problems while the goods are still in the Philippines, not after they arrive at your warehouse.
